Privacy Policy

About Cutpik
Cutpik is an iPhone app for adults age 18 or older that helps people explore haircut inspiration and create a private AI-generated haircut preview from photographs they choose.
Information Cutpik processes
Photographs and generated previews
When you choose to create a preview, Cutpik processes your selected photograph and haircut reference. The app checks both images locally on your iPhone before upload. Selecting a photo alone does not upload it.
After you approve cloud processing and have an eligible preview credit, the images and generation instructions are sent through Cutpik’s secure Firebase gateway to Google’s Gemini API. The gateway keeps image data only in memory for the active request and does not save request images, prompts, or generated images to developer-controlled storage or logs.
Under Google’s current paid Gemini API terms, prompts, contextual information, and output may be retained for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring. Google states that paid-service prompts and responses are not used to improve its products.
A successfully delivered preview is stored locally on your iPhone. It is not placed in a Cutpik public profile or social feed. It leaves your device again only when you choose to share it, save it to Photos, or request another cloud refinement.
Purchases, preview balance, and service integrity
Cutpik uses Apple-signed app and in-app-purchase transaction information to deliver, restore, refund, and revoke preview credits. The service stores a keyed pseudonymous ledger containing purchase transaction identifiers, product identifier, purchase time, remaining value, courtesy eligibility, generation reservation status, limited provider cost and latency fields, and bounded rate-control records.
Cutpik does not receive payment-card or bank information. Apple processes payment details. Firebase App Check and Apple App Attest provide app and device integrity assertions. Cutpik also uses a random installation identifier for session binding and abuse controls.
Product analytics
Cutpik uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand its product funnel and technical reliability. It records fixed events such as opening Try, selecting a camera or library photo, local validation outcome, viewing the purchase screen, purchase outcome, generation outcome, result view, share or export start, inspiration save, and review-prompt request.
Analytics events never contain photographs, generated images, prompts, haircut names or identifiers, hair attributes, Vision results, transaction identifiers, delivery identifiers, error descriptions, email addresses, or other user-entered content. Cutpik does not set an analytics user ID, does not include advertising-ID capability, disables IDFV collection and ad-personalization signals, and does not use analytics for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites. Google Analytics assigns its own app-instance identifier and may provide general device, app, session, and coarse geographic information.
Support requests
If you contact support, LOOP Interactive receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message. For a purchased-credit or erasure request, support may ask for the minimum Apple purchase or order information needed to locate and verify the relevant entitlement. Do not send face photographs, haircut references, or generated previews to support unless support explicitly explains why they are required.
How information is used
Cutpik processes information to create and deliver requested previews; validate inputs; protect the service from abuse; deliver and restore purchased value; diagnose failures; respond to support, privacy, refund, and security requests; measure product reliability; and meet legal obligations.
Cutpik does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
Service providers
- Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, signed transaction history, App Attest, camera and photo system interfaces, sharing, and optional saving to Photos.
- Google Firebase, for the production gateway, App Check, Firestore entitlement records, Cloud Functions, operational logging, and privacy-limited analytics.
- Google Gemini API, for image analysis and generation after explicit cloud-processing approval.
Retention
- The Cutpik gateway keeps photographs and generated provider payloads only in memory for the active request and does not persist them.
- Google may retain Gemini prompts, context, and output for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring.
- Successful previews and saved inspiration remain on the iPhone until you delete them or remove the app.
- The pseudonymous entitlement ledger is retained while needed to preserve non-expiring purchased value, process restorations, refunds, or revocations, prevent duplicate credits, meet legal obligations, and protect service integrity. Exhausted records are removed or minimized when those purposes no longer require them.
- Analytics data is retained according to the configured Cutpik Google Analytics retention controls and may remain in aggregated reporting after app-instance-level data expires.
- Support records are retained only while needed to resolve a request and satisfy proportionate legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security requirements.
Your choices and requests
You can decline cloud processing and continue browsing or using locally saved content; turn off future cloud processing from Privacy details in the app; choose another photo before upload; delete saved previews and inspiration; and remove locally stored app data by deleting the app.
Email support@cutpik.app to request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity or Apple transaction information. Records still required to preserve purchased value, handle refunds, meet legal obligations, or prevent duplicate or abusive transactions may be retained for the minimum necessary period.
Adults only
Cutpik’s cloud AI previews are intended only for people age 18 or older. The app asks for adult confirmation before the first cloud upload. Cutpik is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
Security and international processing
Cutpik uses encrypted transport, App Check and App Attest, signed Apple transaction verification, restricted service credentials, access-controlled cloud services, and a gateway that avoids image persistence. No internet service is completely secure. Google and Apple may process information outside your country, subject to their applicable safeguards.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Cutpik’s features, providers, retention, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated. A material cloud-processing change requires a new in-app policy approval before another upload.
